18:17. וּבְנָיָהוּ בֶּן־יְהוֹיָדָע עַל־הַכְּרֵתִי וְהַפְּלֵתִי וּבְנֵי־דָוִיד הָרִאשֹׁנִים לְיַד הַמֶּלֶךְ ׃ פ

18:17. יז ובניהו בן יהוידע על הכרתי והפלתי ובני דויד הראשנים ליד המלך  {פ}

18:17. וּבְנָיָהוּ בֶּן־יְהֹויָדָע עַל־הַכְּרֵתִי וְהַפְּלֵתִי וּבְנֵי־דָוִיד הָרִאשֹׁנִים לְיַד הַמֶּלֶךְ׃ פ

18:17. ‏וּבְנָיָ֙הוּ֙ בֶּן־יְה֣וֹיָדָ֔ע עַל־הַכְּרֵתִ֖י וְהַפְּלֵתִ֑י וּבְנֵי־דָוִ֥יד הָרִאשֹׁנִ֖ים לְיַ֥ד הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ פ

18:17. Benaiah son of Jehoiada supervised the Kerethites and Pelethites; and David's sons were the king's leading officials.

18:17. Benaiah son of Jehoiada was captain of the king's bodyguard. And David's sons served as the king's chief assistants.

18:17. and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and the sons of David were chief about the king.
